Meet our partners

AORA would like to acknowledge the following organisations for their support of the 2025 Annual Conference:

NSW Environment Protection Authority

Hitachi

GOVERNMENT PARTNER

The NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) takes an environmental stewardship approach to being the regulator of NSW’s environment.  It is responsible for caring, protecting and nurturing the environment for generations of today and tomorrow to enjoy.

The NSW Government has committed to net zero emissions from organics waste in landfill by 2030 and allocated $81.3 million to support a transition to mandatory food organics and garden organics (FOGO) source separation from households and certain businesses, starting in July 2026.

The program of support includes funding for community education, contamination management, food rescue, new collection services, processing infrastructure and strong end markets for the recycled product.

It is through meaningful engagement and teamwork that the NSW EPA will get the best outcomes for the environment and in doing so we can achieve our mission to protect tomorrow together.  Supporting the Australian Organics Recycling industry to produce a high-quality recycled product is key to the successful rollout of FOGO in NSW.
